This cover saves time and money in the spring! This 21x41 foot oval above-ground rugged mesh cover makes spring clean-up a snap. The secret to this unique cover is the tightly woven scrim that holds together insuring that no gaps or holes develop. Rugged mesh allows only rain water and very fine silt to pass through. Since the cover is made of mesh that is very lightweight, it is easy lifting it off in the spring. No heavy water to lift off or time consuming cover pumping. Most helpful customer reviews 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Disappointed By K. Franks There are two reasons I would not reccommend this leaf net: 1) It is too small. I have a 12 X 28 foot pool, so I bought the net for a 15 X 30 foot pool. I should have plenty of extra space, however, pulling very hard, the cover barely reaches the 28 foot length ends of my pool. The net is fine reaching the 12 foot sides, but would not fit a 15 foot pool. 2) There are flaws running down both sides of the net a couple of feet from the ends. It appears to be a manufacturing problem -- whoever makes it does not seem to be very good at production control. I believe these flaws very much weaken the net and it will not hold up over the winter. I should have returned the net, but needed it immediately as the leaves are coming down here. I believe it would be a fine net, if not for the flaws or the fact that it is too small. I do not reccommend buying this net. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. cake baker By cake baker I had to send it back. It was a good looking net that seemed to be a quality product. By the way, it is 7 by 10 feet and 3 feet deep. I was expecting something smaller, but am thrilled that it is bigger and just the right size. We have dreamed of having an indoor heated pool where we can do some serious swimming, but knew we couldn't afford the pools with the current machine or a swimspa. My children and I have fibromyalgia and were desperate to find some way to swim indoors in a heated pool. I found this pool by searching on google and wanted to order it through Amazon. Everything went well. We received it a week later and installed it with the iPool Spa Filter / Pump and Heater Upgrade. You must have a 220v GFCI installed for the heater, but the upgrade is worth it. It heats the pool easily and perfectly. We thought the hose attachments for the heater were not in the box and called Fitmax. The man himself answered the phone. We looked again and were embarrassed to find them immediately. Still, I think it's great to get such great service. The harness works great, the steel supports very strong, everything fantastic. BUY IT! It can easily fit in the garage. Gott I have to admit that I was a little skeptical of this at first, but it has turned out to be GREAT. We had looked in to all sorts of other lap pool options, and there was really nothing that came close price wise- We'd have to spend $12k more to get pretty much anything. So, We gave it a shot- And I am glad that we did. It was relatively easy to set up, though you DO have to make sure that you have a nice, VERY level spot to set it up on. I had to do a little excavating in my yard to get the area totally flat. It went together easily enough, though the instructions were a bit difficult. We filled it with water, and hopped in! I didn't know how I would like 'resistance swimming' compared to lap swimming. It feels a little different- But it is still a great workout. Once you get used to swimming in place, though, it's not too bad. You'll have to play with the placement of the resistance bands a little, but once you get them adjusted to your swimming style, you don't need to mess with them again. I am a pretty strong swimmer, But once I got the bands in the right place, I had no problems. I keep my water Chlorinated like any other pool, and it stays nice and clear. Ours is outside, and stays plenty warm just from the sun, so I haven't needed the heater. I MIGHT be moving it in to the basement for the winter, and I'll probably need a heater if I do. We've already got 220v there, so it won't be a big expense. We only had one problem- The filter that came with it was defective, but a quick call to FitMax resolved that issue, they had another one off to us right away. By Swimmer Like a previous reviewer, I'd looked at some of the other home lap pool options. The iPool seemed like a good alternative. It arrived quickly and was very easy to set up - although it helps with a second person. I also purchased the heater and now keep the pool at 80 degrees. The pool is kept in our garage ~ the pool blanket (purchased from the company) helps retain the heat and keeps the humidity down. The electrician's bill to wire the heater was more than I'd expected. Aqua Trol hose/pipe fittings, “straight blade” line cord and outlet. The Aqua Trol Electronic Chlorine Generator (also known as a salt chlorinator) is designed specifically for above ground pools up to 18,000 gallons. The Aqua Trol has all the same functions and features of the Aqua Rite but with a lower chlorine output. The Aqua Trol also has an integral time clock for control of the pool filtration pump. Since many above ground pools already have a single electrical outlet for the filter pump, the Aqua Trol is designed with an outlet (timer controlled L.E.D.) for the filter pump to plug into, the Aqua Trol then plugs into the original outlet the filter pump was using. The savings on chlorine and electrical power alone (if the pump was previously running 24 hours), will have the Aqua Trol paying for itself in just a few short years. Hooks up easily and comes with all the instructions and hardware needed to get you started. There's even a phone number on the unit to call if you have questions about how to operate it. I have not needed to call, but it is reassuring to know that help is available. I bought this as an upgrade to a Intex filter pump/salt system that had the pump and chlorine generator built into one unit. All I had to do was remove the salt cell from the Intex pump and attach this unit using a variety of PVC attachments(the Intex fittings are not standard sizes that can easily be mounted to normal PVC fittings) bought at the local hardware and a piece of 2x4 to mount it on. Then, plugged the pump into the AQ-TROL control unit and left it turned on. Now the pump runs only when the control unit allows it. I won't go into detail about how the timer on the Intex unit worked, but I will say that the new system is much more convenient and flexible. I was a little unsure about purchasing it because there was not a lot of information about it or how it worked, but it's very simple to operate and works very well. Just attach the cell and flow monitor between your filter pump and the pool. Then plug the power cord from the pump into the control unit and set the timer on the control unit to run for what ever time of day and duration required by the pump to filter the entire pool. The control unit will then supply power to the pump according to the timer settings. Next, there is a dial to control how much chlorine is generated while the pump is running. You can set this anywhere from 0 - 100 percent depending on what is needed to keep the proper balance of free chlorine in the pool with the number of hours that the control unit is set to run. There is also a manual control to run the filter pump without the timer if you need to. This is a very short explanation just to give you an idea of how the unit works. The instructions that come with the unit go into much more detail, but I wanted to provide this for anyone who was wondering how this would fit into their current setup. I was very suprised about the weight of the box when it arrived. Once you remove it from the box, you quickly realize that it appears to be very duarable. The controls are mounted in a very sturdy metal box that is made to be placed outside near the pool. The chlorine generator cell is very easily plumbed and the fact that is comes with the correct fittings for piping or connecting hoses gives an owner options. Ours has been installed for six days now and we are very happy. It does take some time getting the correct salt level. It's easier to add than take away. However now that we have the right ppm salt amount, we are adjusting the pump timer and the chlorine output. Final words on this product is that it is a well made chlorine generator system. I've had Intex solar covers in previous years and they are strong and durable. This is not an Intex solar cover. The product I received is very cheap very thin blue bubble wrap with an Intex sticker somewhere near the middle. Very disappointed and feeling ripped off! It helps warm up the pool water... And keeps alot of the debris out of the water. As with the covers that fit over the side of the pool you need to be careful when removing the cover to prevent the debris from falling off the cover in the pool water. Solar cover works, but falls apart within 1 year By REW I just wanted to warn everyone about the Intex solar cover. I purchased one in July last year. I stored it in indoors in a dry location during the winter. When I used it this year the cover was intact, however after a couple of days of use, a major rip occurred (~ 3 feet long). Since then several other rips have occurred, making the cover useless (I am not throwing it away). The rips did not occur on a seam but in at an edge moving toward the center. In addition, something has occurred where the air pockets (all those bubble wrap looking things) have disintegrated, and I now have hundreds of blue little dots from the cover clogging the pool filter. On the positive side, the cover really does heat the water quickly. I am just highly disappointed in the lack of quality and the deterioration within 1 year.
