I immediately started having problems. The unit started leaking before I had installed the gas! Hayward that the company made accusations that the alkalinity of the water in my pool may have caused the problem. No problems with my pool water chemical balance! I could see it was a factory defect in the soldering of copper pipe. Anyway, I replaced the heat exchanger, and it seemed OK. Now, several months later ... the heater does not work! The unit will not ignite and a waste of gas! I tried to resolve the situation by contacting the pool store, where he informed me to contact a representative Hayward. After several attempts, we were not able to get someone / anyone contact in Hayward. I tried to get some information on the site of Hayward will ... completely useless. Then try to repair this unit to find someone .. They complained that this H100ID1 model. They said they had many problems with this particular furnace. It is absolutely rubbish! Gallagher We the heater for a pool of 10,000 gallons in New Jersey. We installed and in July-September, used the pool not to reopen next May. If we did that, heating was rattling, so we called the local Hayward, out to $ 125, although it was less than 1 year, came and said it was probably the heat exchanger heat. She said the technology comes out to $ 125, diagnosed the problem, then returned for another $ 125 plus parts plus $ 60 per hour. I told them just the heat exchanger with them the first time. What a scam. The inspection had been asked to heat caused by improper water chemistry, when I said they said I needed the proceeds from a pool store tested my water shows were 70-10 days of Professionals, the strips do not make yourself at home OK, I said, live and learn ... $ 600 later I had a new heat exchanger and a hot pool. During the summer I had the water checked regularly, just like the guy told me, and our balance was spot on. Come September, it starts rattling again stupid, I call and say I tried as you told me that everything was good, why is it broken again ... and they tell me it's probably my water parameters again, even if it had tested was 70-10 days, and they do not guarantee replacement of parts.
